The dust has just began to settle in Punchestown after last nights explosive performances by Coldplay and Beyonce and while Oxegen has wrapped for another long year there are plenty more days of drinking, tunes and sunshine to be had on the mainland with Benicassim just around the corner. Although Coachella and Glasto are mere memories at this stage, the style inspiration from veteran attendees like Alexa, Kate and blogger Rumi Nealy will no doubt live on for the rest of the summer. Two of my favourite trends this summer Aztec prints courtesy of L.A.M.B and western fringing a la Ralph Lauren also happen to be very festival appropriate. Below find my choices for festival perfection and some of this summer's hottest and easiest hair trends to try whether beach or Benicassim bound. A special thanks to Sinead who allowed me maul her Rapunzuel-like tresses without complaint, she played her part as my perfect doll exceptionally well for the morning.

My Summer Staples: A Little White T-shirt and Perfect Denims

I have always had an unexplainable affinity for cotton, white t-shirts. Simply put, you can throw on a white t-shirt with just about anything, from a cashmere sweater and skinnys to a printed skirt and immediately look and feel, effortlessly chic. Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen's luxury apparel brand, The Row began with the mission to create the perfect t-shirt and they have now created a more affordable and interactive t-shirt line on http://www.stylemint.com/; thus, it seems I am not alone in my admiration for this basic garment. In the past I would have said that contemporary American designer lines such as Vince, James Perse or Splendid had a better hold on what makes the perfect white t-shirt,  that is, structure and softness. For this reason, I would invest in 2-3 Vince pieces each time I visited The States. Since the arrival of COS and Maje at BT2, the white t-shirt market at home has experienced a resurgence in credible competition, now I don't fret so much when my Vinces' start to look a bit worn out. Summer is a particularly busy time for my white t-shirts, which face a constant cycle or wear, wash and wear again. They seldom get to rest in the quiet confinements of my wardrobe.
